He was punctual, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and willing to share, impeccable in his deference to our preferences, and happily, had a great sense of humor.  He was constantly trying to accommodate our interests and preferences. No question was too dumb, no query unworthy of his careful assessment. Thank you for making Khalid our guide. We told him he was a fantastic representative of his country.

The itinerary was great for us. It might have been ambitious for others, but we were happy to keep moving, and to be kept challenged. 

Our sea excursion was also terrific. Our captain was clear in his directions, and could not have been a more gregarious fellow.”

“We enjoyed everything in the area around Salalah thoroughly. Beautiful scenery and some really dramatic views. Our driver/guide Mohammed was terrific and arranged for us to stop by his friends camel farm. A fun experience and we had our first taste of camel milk, fresh from the camels pouch.  

Our drivers were both very good and took good care of us. Abdul was very focused on our safety and added a lot of enthusiasm to our experience. It was also nice meeting his wife and son , Omar, who he dropped off with family on our way to the turtle reserve.”

“Said (Our tour guide) was outstanding. A source of much knowledge and an excellent driver. Fluent English. We also learnt much about Islam and Ibadism covering subjects such as a Muslim’s daily prayer obligations and arranged marriages in much detail. He was very patient. I would not have completed the Wadi Shab hike without my stick and his steadying hand. 

We continue to sing Oman’s praises and it will live in our memories.”

“From the start the professionalism of your agency was excellent. It was perhaps the best presented tour information package we have ever received in our travels.

Our drivers were great. We particularly like Mohamed in Salalah. He was very informative and well read and we had some interesting discussions about a range of topics. Needless to say his English is excellent.  He made us feel very welcome and was a careful driver. 

As for trip highlights it’s hard to pick but the trip to the Empty Quarter was a standout as was Nizwa.  We loved the goat auction. Also Wadi Shab is one of the most beautiful places we have seen in the world. We really enjoyed the walk and our swim there. Looking back through our photos just now there were some wonderful moments.”
